The origins of my cues.
I source materials from around the world, selecting the best materials so that the end result is the best possible quality.
I consider my cues to be handmade although lathes, planers, bandsaws and sanders are used in the production.

Badges
The numbered badges have been used up until September 2018. They were then changed for the standard badge in black or ivory. There is no difference between the black and ivory cues, just purely used either by customer choice or by which ever suits the exotic wood used in the cue.

How long will it take to make me a cue and why ?
All in all its not a quick process. Waiting times quoted to you will be dependent on current workload and progress of materials available. I will always endeavour to have the cue completed quicker than the time I quote but please be patient as quality always comes first.
Can I specify how many chevrons / arrows I want on the shaft ?
Long and short is, I will do my best but im limited in what ash I have available so you may have to wait longer, but above all I will give you a shaft that plays and feels good and thats what matters.
If you really must have a certain number of arrows and other requirements then there is a £195 extra charge to allow for this extra service.

How do I look after my cue
Your cue will have a natural oil finish, this will benefit from a buffing with a nice soft cloth. The oil finish takes months to harden and cure and so buffing every week will help this curing process. The oils and natural grease from your hands will only add to the cues protective finish, just keep buffing!
Do not use damp or wet towels, you will open the grain on the shaft and let chalk deposits and dirt in.

What tip will be on my new cue?
Unless specified I will use a selected Elk master tip.
My cue wobbles when rolled on a snooker table bed ?
There is only one way to tell if a cue is straight and that is to hold it rifle style up to one eye and site down the cue.
Please remember we are dealing with wood here which due to its very nature can move and flex over time especially if not cared for correctly. All timbers I use have been properly dried and tested for moisture content.
